Project Earthlight (II)
Day two of Project Earthlight, and everything's coming along rather nicely. Today I designed the main characters (a pair of aliens) and began to animate the first few shots. I'm about 25 seconds in so far, which is faster going than I thought I would be. It's looking pretty good so far, although I might redo the first scene at some point.
Because of the enormous load of graphic effects I'm using (mainly blurring), Flash finds it pretty hard to play back: I'm thinking the final may have to be a video, rather than an .swf file.

Project Earthlight (I)
I'm starting a new animation which, if all goes to plan, will be my most complicated, serious, and generally ambitious to date.
I thought, because this is going to be a helluva lot of work, I'd keep track of it on the blog.
So, today, I came up with the idea, found a piece of music to use (there's going to be no speech in this, it's effectively a silent film) and storyboarded the whole thing. So far it's looking like about one minute forty in length, with about 20 shots or scenes.
More details, such as the story, etc, will follow soon-ish. :D

New Layout
Yay! Woo! After two days of wading through the messiest CSS code known to man (both mine and Blogger's) I've finally come up with a design for the site which is more usable, and works on both the main site and the blog.
I've also given the Stuff I Found Down The Back Of The Internet section a major overhaul: as in, it's completely different. It's now a mixing pot of all the random crap I find on the internet.
From now on I aim to update the site at least once a week, and this will probably be one of the sections which I update most often. So, keep your eyes peeled.

Fancy-ass new blog.
Ooh, look at this. It's all, like, fancy and new. So, this page will be replacing that nasty old News section, which can still be found here if you really want.
So, this is where I'll be talking about any new stuff on the site, and all that jazz.
'Cept, for the moment, there's nothing new. Except this blog. But I'm guessing that, since you're reading this, I don't need to tell you it's here. So, forget I said anything.
And what for the future? Probably, a Cillit Bang spoof in a similar style to INSTANT INJURY CLAIM LAWYER HOTLINE 4 U and GERIATRICS 4 CASH. Other than that, I don't know. Suggestions? Requests? Complaints? Leave 'em in the fancy comments box down thar.
